Entering indigenous village of Bisira
Although we are seeking a buyer for our
company, we are STILL doing our unique
Jungle Rio Tours.

                                                    Tours-Trips

A NEW Venture just completed in its initial exploratory phases is now open and a sure delight to be experienced.
The Boquete Times June '04 issue features Elizabeth's own thoughts on this trip into the unknown.

NEW JUNGLE RIVER EXPERIENCE

Bocas 1B – The Jungle River Adventurer – Indigenous and Nature Experiences
Departing Bocas del Toro city via jet boat across Admiral’s Bay (Bahia Almirante), passing numerous small
islands and across shallow coral reefs, we travel southeast along the "Columbus Passage" to reach Chiriqui
Lagoon (Laguna de Chiriqui). This Lagoon has both the famous pirate lair known as Bluefield's Lagoon from
which the pirates would surprise their passing prey lurching out from this peninsula; and, the small town of
Chiriqui Grande that is the Atlantic terminus of the 200 Km long Trans-isthmus petroleum pipeline.  Oil is
pumped from the Puerto Armuelles input end for further transport to US ports.  Possible marine life encounters
include dolphins, various sea and land birds, coral reefs and fish.  Along the route we view abundant manglar
covered cayos with various varieties of birds, which give way to the water expanses of the Laguna before
entering the river and its banks covered with both jungle derived trees and thick vegetation as well as
breadfruit and cacao trees.  We reach the indigenous areas of the Ngöbe traveling up river some 14 Km.
 The
trip also features a 3
hour native cayuco trip down the river, where the only sounds are made by nature's living
jungle and the gasps of the passengers on this leg of the adventure.  Multitudes of birds may be seen for
those interested in this aspect; monkeys may be glimpsed along the way high up the tree lines banks;
manatees are a possibility, but require keen attention to view their fleeting appearances; there are crocodiles
in the lower river waters, not a guaranteed sighting, but swimming is a definite no-no!  The return route to
Bocas del Toro is weather dependent; or, to selected land transport return point.  Trip length is approx 8-9
hours.  (Currently, no native lunch is available; but we carry our own excellent meal.  Native meals are in the
initial stages, requiring sanitary certification).  Soft drinks and bottled water are available, as are packaged
snacks during the trip.  In case you forget yours, we carry OFF and SFP30 sun block.

Bocas 1B-1 – The Jungle River Adventurer – Indigenous Experiences option 1
Features the same Jungle River experience as the Bocas 1B tour, except originates from Chiriqui Grande and
ends at the same point.  This tour is specific to those desiring a day trip from David or Boquete.  Ground
transport may be arranged separately, or we can charter a private vehicle as desired.

Bocas 1B-2 – The Jungle River Adventurer – Indigenous Experiences option 2 [BRIDGE TRIP]
Features the same Jungle River experience as the Bocas 1B tour, except originates at Chiriqui Grande and
Terminates in Bocas del Toro city.  The tour is specific to those desiring continuing activities in the area.
Additional day trips may be included within the package, selected from our Bocas 2 (series), with a price
reduction for repeat customers.   Ground transport may be arranged separately, or we can charter a private
vehicle as desired.

Bocas 1B-3 – The Jungle River Adventurer – Indigenous Experiences option 3 [BRIDGE TRIP]
Features the same Jungle River experience as the Bocas 1B tour, except originates at Bocas del Toro city and
Terminates in Chiriqui Grande.  The tour is specific to those desiring continuing  their activities in the Boquete
or Volcan areas.  If is taken as additional day trip within the package, selected from our Bocas 2 (series), a price
reduction for repeat customers is granted.  Ground transport may be arranged separately, or we can charter a
private vehicle as desired.

[BRIDGE TRIP] are the Chiriqui-Bocas routes "bridging" the two locales with our Jungle Rio Adventurer in the
middle.  Land transport is not included & may be accomplished on own or we can assist to contract a vehicle.

Bocas 2(X) – Indigenous Experiences & Options
Departs Bocas del Toro designated AM pick up point, we travel much of same areas as did The Admiral during
his stay in this area.  Our tour is made from the options below, as selected to match your interests, with 3
segments being the optimum for your enjoyment and comfort.  Each segment runs 2-2½ hours, overall trip
length is 7-8 hours.  All soft drinks and bottled water, packaged snacks are included, as is the Deli lunch.  In
case you forget yours, we carry OFF and SFP15 & 30 sun block.  If Snorkel option trip is selected, either bring
your own or we’ll match your feet at a local supplier, rental included.

a.  Indigenous Village, lunch on site, native entertainment and crafts for purchase.  This option is normally
preceded by any of the b to e options.
b.  Indigenous Village, sightseeing only, optional 2nd village experience.  This option is best combined with
preceding option a and followed by option d or e.
c.  Swan Cay (Isla Pajaro) and Jungle Canal to Rio Changuinola – possible snorkel, WX dependent.  This option
is best in the early morning, owing to PM winds.  The only nesting place within Panama for the Red-Billed
Tropicbird makes this small off-shore islet quite famous, as does its striking appearance (as seen in our Home
page photo, as well as many other sites).
d.  Snorkel Site – selected from within route pattern.  This option may precede or follow option a, and may be
broken into two separate areas, depending on your desires.
e.  Sightseeing among manglar cayos and along Columbus’ Route of Discovery, 2 routes available.  This option
covers a lot of the area not normally covered by other tour operators.
f.  Bird watching along Jungle Canal is available as an early AM or late PM option.  The avid birdwatcher knows
the earlier bird does indeed get his view.  However, an excellent and restful way to end the day is viewing the
myriad groups of parrots making their way back to the Boca del Drago area from the Changuinola mainland area
every evening.

Possible packages:
2A. (d + a + e)                  2B. (b + a + d)                   2C. (c + a + e)                2D. (c + a + d)
2E. (f + a + d)                   2F. (d + a + b + f)              2G. (e + a + b + f)

3.   Private Charters.  We are available for private charters per day, two or more for a client's preferred
itineraries, based on min 4 in low season, 6 in high season.  Commercial Charters are also available for extended trips,
exploration or support to expeditions on Atlantic or Pacific coasts.  Contact directly for information, pricing and availability.

A new  venture to Isla Escudo de Veraguas, where the pristine ambiance is little changed since the famous
pirate Sir Francis Drake rested his final days ashore here and was subsequently buried at-sea off Portobelo,
Colon.  A truly unique adventure, which may be conducted over several days and nights. This trip is highly
dependent on weather conditions and is best in Sept-early Nov and Apr-May periods.  Photos of recent Escudo
trips are on-site.  Interested?  Please contact
Yari@panamajetboatexplorer.com for further info.

Trips include a variety of soft drinks, bottled water & packaged snacks.  About mid-way a deli sandwich lunch, with salads & fruits
is also provided, or a native meal, if available.  SFP30 Sun Screen & OFF are available aboard.  Swim attire is suitable.  Bring towel,
light jacket or shirt and shoes for land travel.  Flip flops are not suitable, unless strapped onto foot.  Trips including snorkel sites
also include snorkel gear, or you may bring your personal gear.
Children under 12 and those with physical problems of sitting in a small boat for extended periods are requested not to consider
these trips.  Smoking and alcoholic beverages are not permitted aboard (except on private charters).

lower left side.  Owing the file size, loading is slow.  This video was
shot from our Aguila, hand holding the Canon G5 as the boat swung
in the current.  Sounds of other birds and creatures are heard, as
well as some muffled chatting of our clients.
